AIS Grants Scholarships to Talented Indonesian StudentsEducation
The Australian Independent School (AIS) currently opened a scholarship program for Indonesian 10th graders (senior high school) in the 2017 school year. Academic scholarships in the amount of IDR. 1.120.000.000,- will be offered to four talented students in their respective academic areas in which they will be provided with a high quality education from AIS.
In return, the students can contribute to the academic and social life at the AIS school located in Pejaten, Jakarta. The students will receive a full scholarship for three years from the 10th to 12th grade, starting in April 2017. The scholarships will cover the full school fee, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma examination fee and school construction fee during the program.
The scholarship application period will close on November 4, 2016 and the chosen students will undergo mathematics and English tests that will be held between November 17 and 21, 2016. The students who pass the tests will continue the selection process and be interviewed by the AIS scholarship judging panel by the end of November or early December 2016.
AIS started the scholarship program last year as a appreciation to Indonesian students with outstanding academic abilities. The interactive Australian curriculum aims to stimulate the students' mind and teach them to think creatively and independently, to become open minded, develop confidence and hone communication abilities effectively. Last year's recipients show positive developments in the academic field and follow the curriculum as well as actively engage in extracurricular activities.
