“Gratify” means to give into; indulge and satisfy. That is the story behind the establishment that the owners felt was a way of giving back to the community where they’ve lived for years – Pondok Indah. As such, the cafe is a sanctuary for people to get away from the frenzied Jakarta life.

Insprired by Parisian interiors, the cafe is chic and simple with neutral colour palette which earned it the reputation as the neighbourhood’s hidden gem with an elegant, sophisticated yet warm, cozy and inviting atmosphere. The two-storey cafe also accommodates large groups for private parties as well as a private room for business lunches.

To craft the Asian and Western menu, the cafe collaborated with Chef Mandif M. Warokka. Using the freshest ingredients and cooking techniques, the flavours of the dishes are bold. And that plays a vital role in creating good food. The main idea here is that food doesn’t have to be complex, it just has to be comforting.

Here, guests can enjoy the starter, main course, desserts and beverages which taste great even with simple ingredients. Start your culinary journey here with Watermelon Salad with Feta Cheese with Caramelised Cashews and Balsamic Vinegar, and continue with warmed Pan con Tomate: Baguette, Basil and Tomatoes. These dishes are fresh and clean.

The restaurant is designed with Parisian style inspired.

One dish that we can appreciate from this cafe is the Binte Biluhuta Soup, a traditional corn soup with shredded coconut. scallions, and cakalang fufu fish from Gorontalo. Chef Mandif ensures the dish has an authentic taste.

For the Western main course, go for the Gnocchi with Roasted Pumpkin, Cherry Tomatoes and Butter Sauce and Penne Pesto with Norwegian Salmon Belly. For Asian options, Indonesia’s favourite meatballs take a fancy twist here with the use of  Wagyu beef.  There’s also Salmon Teriyaki with Steamed Rice, as well as the Apple and Cabbage Slaw which are both good options.

Carrott Cake is a must-try dessert.

Known for her excellent cakes (Fira ran Lefira Cakes which retailed online from 2011 until the opening of this restaurant, and had quite the following), those looking for the familiar taste can find it here. Paired with quality homeground coffee from Tanamera, this is the perfect indulgence. Of particular note are the Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, Red Velvet Brownies and Moist Chocolate Ganache Cake.
