Paulaner Bräuhaus, Indonesia’s only genuine German microbrewery, will celebrate its fourth Oktoberfest this year. The festival will run from 4 to 7 October and is set to be the biggest so far for the brewery.
The festivities will be celebrated in the “Anstich” tradition, in which the first litre of specially brewed Oktoberfest Bier will be tapped by the world’s only Indonesian brewmaster, Arie Susanto. As in previous years, folk band Edelweiss Power will be flown in from Germany to entertain partygoers with games, competitions, traditional music and well-known party favourites.
This year, Oktoberfest at Paulaner on Wednesday and Thursday night costs Rp 750,000+++, which includes food, free-flow Paulaner beer, entertainment, and an Oktoberfest Jakarta mug. Meanwhile, on Friday and Saturday night, the price will be Rp 825,000+++, to include all of the above, plus free-flow of Oktoberfest Bier!
