On Tuesday, 17 October 2017, the Consulate General of India in Bali together with the Balinese and Indian Friendship Association (BIFA) hosted Ayurveda Day to celebrate the traditional medical system and lifestyle in ancient India. Indian Ayurveda practitioners Dr. Abhisek Joshi and Dr. Aparna participated in the seminar to give an insight on why this ancient medical system is still of importance today.

The Consul General of India in Bali, Mr. R.O Sunil Babu, also joined the seminar and spoke of the essential meaning and the importance of Ayurveda for life.

Ayurveda, which translates as the science of life (Ayur means life, Veda means science or knowledge), originated in India more than 3000 years ago. It offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential.
