Chef Antonio Presents Authentic Italian Cuisine in JakartaDining Promotions
Food aficionados can mark their calendars on 16 and 17 March, as Fairmont Jakarta will welcome guest Chef Antonio Facchinetti from Singapore’s popular Italian restaurant, Prego at Fairmont Singapore.
Well known for his experience in Italian cuisine, Chef Antonio has traveled and worked across the globe following his culinary adventure. Originally from Ponte di Legno (Brescia) in the Lombardy region, Chef Anotnio began his career in 1987 at the Vissani, a 2-star Michelin restaurant in Orvieto. He then crossed the Atlantic to join the famous Rex Il Ristorante in downtown Los Angeles, the preferred destination of Hollywood stars. In 1999, Chef Antonio co-owned Il Baretto in Sydney, Australia, which was recognized as Sydney Morning Herald’s Best Café Restaurant in 2001. His culinary skills have been built for over 25 years in kitchens in Italy, USA, Germany, Australia, Thailand and now Singapore.
Despite being away from his native town in Milan, Chef Antonio remains true to his Italian culinary roots and heads back home occasionally to sample and explore the best and most traditional Italian favorites. This passion is best embodied by his handcrafted pasta, made on a daily basis.
At Fairmont Jakarta, Chef Antonio will present an interactive cooking demo at Sapori Deli, where guests will have the opportunity to learn the best techniques in Italian cooking in the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant.
On 16 March, Chef Antonio will demonstrate his signature dishes and present a delightful flavor of Tuscany in a four-course lunch set menu including Acquacottaa spiced Tuscany soup, Caprese di Stracciatella, Tortelli di Patate and Torta di Mele. This special luncheon and cooking demo is available at IDR 490,000++ per person.
On the following day, 17 March, Chef Antonio will collaborate with Sapori Deli’s Chef de Cuisine Gozali to create a stunning five-course set menu served with a free flow of Italian wine. The dinner menu includes Zuppa di Fregola Sarda, Carpaccio di Wagyu, Bigoli con Baccala, Agnello in Crosta and Torta al Cioccalato for dessert. This wine dinner is available at IDR 880,000++ per person.
