Starbucks Celebrates International Coffee Day, Opens Three Reserve Stores

|

Back In 2014, Starbucks Indonesia opened its very first Reserve store in Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall, Jakarta. Celebrating International Coffee Day, Starbucks is adding its three new Reserve stores in the heart of Jakarta; Mall Kelapa Gading 3, Senayan City, and Menara Astra. The store offers a small lot coffee from around the world and features a Starbucks Reserve Bar with variety of manual brewings.

“We wanted to elevate the Reserve coffee experience for customers and inspire them with our passion for coffee,” said Vasilis ‘Basil’ John Vasiliou, Starbucks Indonesia VP of Operations. “A Reserve coffee bar is located in the centre of the store or ‘centre stage,’ so customers can watch partners handcrafting beverages from every vantage point. Featuring a variety of coffee brewing methods, these three stores offer a greater experience by using Black Eagle machines. Baristas will also offer coffee using the Pour-Over method with a three-cup station,” Basil added.

Starbucks strives to share this passion through the finest coffee experiences. The store is designed to provide an intimate connection between barista and its customers. At a Starbucks Reserve™ coffee bar, the craft of making coffee is a sensory experience. It’s an interactive space, where customers can relax near the amber glow of the Siphon brewer or watch the slow, steady pour of Nitro Cold Brew cascade into a glass.

First Starbucks Reserve in the Office Building
“We celebrated Coffee Day by opening special Reserve series, starting from Starbucks Reserve MKG 3 on 23 September, then Starbucks Reserve Senayan City in October, and in the near future, the Astra Tower Starbucks Reserve. This will be our precious seventh, eighth, and ninth Reserve store in Indonesia,” said Andrea Siahaan, Head of Corporate PR and Communications Starbucks Indonesia. “This is our commitment to extend our coffee leadership and a big appreciation to all coffee aficionados,” he added.

What makes it unique is that Starbucks has chosen Menara Astra as the main highlight, which will become the first Starbucks Reserve in Indonesia in an office building.”This location is very interesting! We have considered the unique location for our future Reserve stores which we can bring specialty coffee closer to our customers. And we believe Menara Astra suits that community, and it’s about time for us to be in a prestigious office building,” Andrea noted.
