Christmas is identical with comfort food and sweet treats. Every year on 18 December, lovers of all things sweet come together to celebrate Bake Cookies Day by baking dozens of cookies for sharing with their loved ones or to send them to orphanages and charity drives. It’s the day when your house will be filled with the magical scent of freshly baked cookies!

Polar Bear Sugar Cookies

These sugar cookies with royal icing are created by outlining and filling each polar bear with white royal icing, leaving the sweater area unfilled. To make the noses, pipe a mound of stiff royal icing in one spot and let it sit until it is almost dry, then press on brown M&Ms. Pipe on faces, then decorate sweaters as desired using colored royal icing and sprinkles and let it sit until it is dry.

Santa Is Coming To Town Cookies

These cute cookies are the best way to spread Christmas cheer. All you need is one batch of royal icing Red sanding sugar, finely shredded coconut, white nonpareils and sprinkles for decorating. Use the thicker icing, outline each cookie, then fill it by using the thinner flooding icing. While wet, sprinkle it with red sanding sugar, finely shredded coconut, nonpareils and sprinkles. Once dry, decorate with additional thicker white icing and let it sit.

These cookies are almost too pretty to eat. You could bake a simple version of it by making Sugar Cookie Buttons. The cookies are gathered through the buttonholes in the middle of it, then threaded with ribbon. Present the cookies in a perfectly sized papier-mâché box. These buttery delights are simple, yet unique.

Chocolate Gingerbread Snow Angels

An elevated version of traditional holiday gingerbread, this cookie’s main ingredients are ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and granulated sugar. For the royal icing, the dough consists of gel paste food colors, white sanding sugar and confectioners' sugar. Using almost the same method as the Polar Bear Sugar Cookies, these little delights not only smell good but also taste heavenly.

Snowy white polar bears and stars cookies may be simple, but they bring true Christmas spiritto the table.The cookie dough is mixed with black coffee and white glaze. Spread glaze on thecookies, then cut licorice eyes, nose and ears, and place in wet glaze. Sprinkle with coconut for fur and add red ribbon for the perfect Christmas polar bear.
