éL Royale Kartika Wijaya Batu, previously Kartika Wijaya Hotel, is the oldest hotel in Batu. The hotel was built in colonial style in 1981 by Armenian Sarkies Brothers, who also built the Raffles Hotel Singapore and Eastern & Oriental Hotel in Penang, Malaysia. In March 2018, the hotel was renamed éL Royale Kartika Wijaya Batu, a modern hotel with a strong historical value.

éL Royale Kartika Wijaya Batu has 114 rooms with eight room types: Moderate, Superior, Deluxe, Cottage, Junior Suite, Executive Cottage, Suite, and President Suite.
