Fairmont Jakarta collaborates with iconic and luxury batik brand Iwan Tirta Private Collection and invites guests to enjoy afternoon tea at the hotel’s Peacock Lounge with a special batik edition from 1 April to 31 May. Inspired by the beauty of local batik traditions, the hotel’s signature afternoon tea reflects this spirit through various colours and patterns.
The Exclusive Batik Afternoon Tea is held in conjunction with the upcoming fashion show of Iwan Tirta Private Collection titled “Condrosengkolo”, which will take place on 26 April and features the documentation of ancient motives and patterns that carry stories about the universe, God’s unity and the unification of the microcosm.
The Iwan Tirta Batik Afternoon Tea serves delectable sweets and savoury bites, such as salty caramel e’clairs, flourless chocolate rolls, red velvet brownies, mini green tea citrus and hazelnut opera cakes, ginger honey macaroons, chocolate lollipops with edible pearls, carrot cakes, various flavoured butter cakes as well as other signature servings like fruit tartlets, mini sandwiches, scones and madeleines.
The Iwan Tirta Afternoon Tea is available at IDR 488,000++ per set, including coffee or premium TWG tea for two persons. To celebrate the beauty of batik, the hotel invites guests to come and dress in Batik while enjoying the special edition. They are also encouraged to post their photo on Instagram to win a special gift from Iwan Tirta Private Collection.
