GoWork : Reinventing the Workspace at 9th Floor Building in JakartaCity Updates
GoWork, which first opened its doors in April this year, encourages digital nomads to reimagine the common workplace into a space that is not only about finishing one’s work, but also about sharing collaborative minds.
Traditional office buildings are institutions of yesterday - at least, that is what many millenials think as they have begun to reinvent their workplace into spaces that better fit the way they work. As a response to this latest phenomenon, a number of co-working spaces have opened up in big cities, including Jakarta.
Among them is GoWork, a collaborative hub and event space, which was established by sister duo Renee and Peony Tang and their husbands Donny Tandianus and Richard Lim, in cooperation with Xavier Chang. GoWork is committed to empower independent workers and entrepreneurs to reach new heights of success by providing inspiring and beautiful surroundings.
Conveniently located in a prime office building in the heart of downtown Jakarta - within walking distance to the city’s landmark Bundaran HI - in the midst of private businesses and government offices, GoWork offers everything a weary worker’s heart desires: a lounge, a workshop area, a working area, an open kitchenette stocked with snacks and free coffee, tea and water. It is also equipped with an integrated technology that empowers artists, creators and entrepreneurs to enjoy the benefits of working in a fully-stocked group office.
By appointing award-winning interior designer Revano Satria, the masterminds behind GoWork have created a stunning place for those who have always dreamed about working in an inspirational office - complete with light wood details, modern furnishings, natural lights and big windows that allow its occupants a stunning view of Jakarta.
The lounge also features a projection screen, which is used for presentations, as well as an audio system for seminars. Meanwhile, the public space can be used for workshops, community events and pop-up markets; it is available to the public for rent, as are the three additional meeting rooms.
GoWork has three options for rental: Hot Desk for those looking for easy access to a flexible workspace (from IDR 155,000 per day), Dedicated Desk that gives workers the opportunity to permanently be at the same spot every day (from IDR 3,250,000 per month) and Private Office that is available in different sizes and can be customized to fit the growing needs of your company (from IDR 6,300,000 per month).
The founders are passionate about building a community, so they have created GoWork as a place where occupants can meet many individuals with various backgrounds and build good and lasting connections through events and membership. Being a GoWork member comes with a range of benefits, including full access to weekly events, business resources and more.
