Hana Bank started its business in Indonesia through the acquisition of Bank Bintang Manunggal in 2007. Seven years later, it merged with KEB Indonesia to become PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia (KEB Hana Bank). In running the business, this Korean-Indonesian bank is supported by one of the biggest financial groups in Seoul, Hana Financial Group.

By the end of 2015, the bank’s assets increased by 29%, and credit and third party funds respectively grew 40% and 24%. The bank also maintained its credit quality and recorded an increase of 64% in its profit.
