The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place is set to create the second exceptional gastronomical event together with illycaffè and PT. Bahana Genta Viktory by presenting the experience of illy coffee paired with our chef’s menu in a creative and unique way at Pacific Restaurant and Lounge on 3rd November 2016.

Among urban citizens, coffee has now been recognized as a part of their daily lifestyle instead of just a morning necessity. Jakarta’s burgeoning cafe and restaurant scene makes it even easier to
enjoy different cups of coffee trying to find the one that really fits each person.

This culinary concept will highlight a different notable approach from any other dinner, it has been studied to walk the participants through a path of taste, emphasizing the features of the different coffees, not only consumed as a beverage like espresso, but also used as an ingredient, blended with your food.

Master Barista Fabrizio Aquè, an Illycaffe designated Artisti del Gusto or “Artist of Taste” will guide the guest during this remarkable five course dinner at Pacific Restaurant to decrypt and recognize the coffee flavors within five courses meal. Featured will be illy’s Monoarabica single origin beans which Fabrizio has created some creative coffee offerings all carefully paired to each course. Prior to dinner, Fabrizio will conduct a personal class on how to brew coffee at home without the need of a lavish machine.

Guests can indulge in the fine dining choices from (Antipasti) Cocoa cured beef, sesame toast, green pea emulsion, coffee oil – Classic Frappè, (Antipasti) Prawn, carrot ginger sauce, candied lemon, coffee reduction – Coconut Espresso, (Primi) Duck confit, coffee pasta, celery olive caponata – Vodka espresso/shakerato, (Secondi) Coffee barbecued beef short ribs, jalapeno adobo sauce, carrot flan – Espresso freddo greco / Cointreau shakerato, (Dolce) Milk and dark chocolate duo, sesame feuilletine, black olive cremeux, macchiato sauce – Selection of Coffees. The dinner will be prepared by Executive Chef Sean Macdougall and team with the price Rp 680,000++ per person.
