Already a household name on the island of Bali, Nebula restaurant has finally made its way to Jakarta.

Nebula was born and developed in Bali – the group owns three different restaurants across the island on prime locations, namely in Kuta, Petitenget and Ubud, each boasting a contemporary design and distinct ambiance.

While atmosphere surely adds value to every restaurant, Nebula’s most important mission remains to deliver a personalized culinary experience to its guests by translating passion for good comfort food into tasteful delights.

Nebula recently opened its first branch in the vibrant neighborhood of Kuningan, South Jakarta, introducing Southeast Asian dishes to its diners and taking them on a culinary journey through the region.

The rich culture of Southeast Asia is also translated into its food. Once hailed as the region of spices, the dishes from this area are known for its variety of flavours and tastes – all of which are presented and served, one plate at a time, at Nebula Kuningan.

With a sleek and industrial design, Nebula radiates a decidedly urban, modern feel, without coming across as pretentious.

Embracing the resourceful local ingredients and a contemporary style of cooking, Nebula is set to surprise diners with a burst of different flavours that will make them come back for more.

The menu includes popular local comfort food like Nasi Goreng Sambal Matah and Ayam Goreng Sambal Ijo, as well as other authentic dishes from the region, such as the Bao Series (Chicken Bulgogi, Soft Shell Crab Wasabi), Short Rib Keluak Glaze, Lamb Shank Gulai, Chicken Dumplings and many other modern interpretations of Southeast Asian culinary treasures.

For those who are determined to count calories, Nebula offers a variety of smoothie bowls, whereas the restaurant’s special weekend brunch will showcase the menu from Bali.

Jakarta certainly never runs short of places to eat, be it Indonesian or international cuisine. But sometimes, one simply prefers to go to a restaurant where the food is familiar – and yet still manages to leave room for a little surprise.
