RED HAT: Out with the Bad, in with the Good

|

It was a health concern that led to the founding of RED HAT (the letters stand for Ready Healthy and Tasty Food). The company’s philosophy is to create food without any additives but was still delicious.

The company creates meals that can be enjoyed by those with health restrictions. The menu includes both Indonesian and western items without preservatives, gluten, etc. Very little sugar is used and carbohydrates are kept at a minimum to ensure the food is on the low end of the GI (Glycemic Index) quotient. Those following the Keto and Paleo diets will also find options here as many dishes are prepared without grains.

Recognising the importance of probiotic and fermented foods, a range of dairy-free yoghurts have been created along with a beetroot kimchi that will be especially valuable for those who suffer from coeliac disease and those who do not take dairy to have sufficient probiotic intake to maintain good gut health.

There is also a range of drinks that are available. These are all made fresh daily, contain very low amounts of sugar and are free of preservatives, colouring and flavouring. Juices here are made from fresh fruit with some peel as well to balance out the acidity, add flavour and reduce sweetness.
