a cup of tea is soothing for both body and soul – TWG Tea, the luxury tea brand from Singapore, perfectly understands the many benefits of drinking tea. To elevate the art of tea gastronomy even further, TWG Tea recently unveiled a Brunch Degustation Menu that balances traditional methods and innovative tea infusion techniques in a delectable selection of tasting dishes.

TWG Tea’s Weekend Brunch, which is available on Saturday and Sunday for only IDR 350,000 nett – and an additional IDR 250,000++ for free flow white wine, sparkling wine or prosecco – invites diners to explore the world of tea through savoury recipes; they will be surprised in how many different ways the signature teas can find a way into delightful dishes, creating unique flavours and tantalising the palate.

Guests can choose one appetizer and one soup off the menu, before enjoying unlimited tasting portions of a colourful array of main dishes. Truly, one is spoilt for choice – the brunch menu offers no less than ten different main courses, one more marvelous than the other. It becomes easier if you have found your favourite already, as you can actually order as many portions as you like.

Choices include Tournedos Rossini with Truffle Potato Purée (pan-seared beef tenderloin served with truffle potato purée, vegetable fricassee, caramelized onions, steamed vegetables and porcini mushroom sauce infused with Red of Africa Tea) and Mushroom Tortellini (stuffed mushroom tortellini served with shaved black truffle, sautéed shimeji and sous vide egg in creamy truffle sauce sprinkled with Matcha).

The exquisite Caramelised Norwegian Salmon with Soba Salad, served with Lemon Bush Tea infused honey glaze, and the Pan-Roasted Barramundi drizzled with Garden Tea Party infused sambal matah – perhaps for those in search of a distinctly local culinary touch – are also among the favourites.

Eggs Benedict Royale, Moroccan Mint Pancake Stack and French Toast dipped in Miraculous Mandarin Tea infused custard are available when one tends to prefer breakfast dishes over lunch items.

While it is tempting to go overboard with the main course selection, remember to leave room for dessert – again, diners are invited to try as many petit fours (small bite-sized confectionery) as they like.

With the new Degustation Menu, TWG Tea aims to attract a wider clientele to its tea salon, to make sure that the world of tea – be it served in a cup or infused in a dish – and the art of weekend brunch is introduced to everyone: tea lovers, gourmands, foodies, and also families with children.
