Opened its door to public this July, Maple & Oak restaurant is ready to satisfy the hungry foodies with their various brunch menu. Set in the quirky Menteng area, the pertite eatery aims to popularize all-time favourite brunch items like Eggs Benedict and Hotcakes, and make them available the whole day.
Established by a group of friends and helmed by celebrity chef Odie Djamil, Maple&Oak infuses modern touch into the classic brunch menus to attract local and foreign customers. According to its co-owner, a number of prominent celebrities have dropped a visit to enjoy the signature Maple Butter Brioche, Tomato & Sausage Baked Egg, M&O Cheese Burger—Now! Jakarta got a chance to taste the first two.
Maple Butter Brioche—toasted brioche served with scrambled egg, beef bacon, sliced strawberries and vegetables drizzled with maple syrup on top of creamy butter—is a matching fit for those who fond of sweet and savouury food. On the other hand, Tomato & Sausage Baked Egg consisted of toasted baguette dipped into a hot stew of Italian sausages, tomato sauce, pouched egg, spinach, and a generous amount of cheddar and mozzarella, is perfect for your craving of comfort food.
“We apply the concept of industrial chic (for the interior design) and also garden, as you can see outside (at the balcony) we have pots of plants. The lighting is also very bright so people feel lit up and alive,” co-owner Riva Lauritz said in an interview earlier last month.
