The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta is excited to announce the the appointment of Mr. Sven Fitjer as General Manager.
After succesfully leading The Laguna Resort and Spa, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Bali as Hotel Manager, Mr. Fitjer will be bringing on board over 20 years of industry experience from around the world; his experience include international reputable brands and locations such as the Four Seasons Sydney, Kempinski Jakarta, the Hilton Boston Back Bay and the Hilton Waikoloa Village Hawaii.
His career path with Starwood started at the Sheraton on the Park Sydney in 2012 before moving to Bali two years later. In the capacity of General Manager Mr. Fitjer will be in charge of all management aspects of the property, set a stone’s throw from the Central Business District of Thamrin, Jakarta.

Born and raised in Germany, Mr. Fitjer set the foundation of his career in the most traditional way with apprenticeships as a hotel specialist and chef before continuing his studies of Hotel Management in Heidelberg. Then he travelled to the US where he started his overseas journey more than 15 years ago and where his passion for the international hotel industry begun. In his spare time, Mr. Fitjer enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and if time allows a nice round of golf.
