The Golden Tulip Essential Hotel Pekanbaru, an eye-catching high-rise building located in the Pekanbaru Park area that will also include a shopping mall, a residential area and other hotels in the near future, recently celebrated its soft opening.
A mere 5-minute drive from Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport and 10 minutes away from Pekanbaru’s city centre, the hotel features 153 rooms and is appealing to both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel houses the “Forestre Coffee Lounge & Kitchen”, a restaurant with a unique “go green” decoration concept, as well as the Terrace Bar & Grill, which is located next to the swimming pool and the spa and gym facilities.
Several meeting rooms cater to the MICE tourism industry, whereas the Grand Ballroom with a capacity of 1000 persons is scheduled to open this month.
A part of the Louvre Hotels Group, the international hotel chain operates three different hotel brands: Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip, with over 300 hotels in 45 countries.
Mark Van Ogtrop, Managing Director South East Asia of Louvre Hotels Group, shared his excitement about opening the hotel in Pekanbaru.
“Today, Golden Tulip Indonesia is creating history in Indonesia in general, and in Pekanbaru specifically,” he said.
