Morimoto Restaurant by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto opens its first-ever Southeast Asian branch at The Langham, Jakarta. Located on the 63rd floor, Morimoto Jakarta brings new excitement amongst food connoisseurs of the capital familiar with the renowned chef’s cuisine that draws inspiration from both Japanese and Western culinary techniques, the restaurant unveils hidden layers of flavours on every plate.
The impressive dining destination welcomes guests into a spacious and captivating interior, able to serve up to 99 guests, plus a Private Dining Room with a capacity of up to 16 persons for a more intimate dining experience.
The interior is adorned by a fusion of designs that blends contemporary craftsmanship with Japanese symbolism, birthing a modern-yet-organic aesthetic that is both cutting-edge and comfortable, furthering the immersion into Morimoto’s daring, delicious world. With dark walls and wooden tabletops, all accented in warm lights, the restaurant presents a futuristic interpretation of Japanese contemporary design.
The menu at Morimoto Jakarta promises to showcase all that the famous Iron Chef is known for, presenting Japanese cuisine that fuses new flavours from Indonesia.
Diners will find a wide range of dishes, from small plates to seasonal specialities, curated and helmed by none other than Chef Masaharu Morimoto himself. The Iron Chef’s 20 years of experience will bring an adventurous and complex taste that provides something for everyone. The Moriomoto menu offers a unique twist of flavours that encourages guests to cross their usual boundaries and try something new.
Explore the restaurant’s signature dishes set to leave an impression on discerning palates, from the delectable Toro Tartare with nori, sour cream, wasabi, tuna belly and dashi soy; Soy Braised Black Cod with ginger soy reduction and Tokyo scallion; or the tantalising Ishi Yaki ‘Buri-Bap’, yellowtail on rice cooked table side in a hot stone; to the favourite A5 Ishiyaki, a Japanese A5 wagyu beef with three signature sauces. There’s also a Tuna Pizza with anchovy aioli, Kalamata olives, red onion and jalapeno for those who want to try something the fuses Western cuisine with Eastern flavours.
Morimoto Jakarta opens daily for lunch starting from 12.00 PM until 03.00 PM and for dinner from 06.00 PM to 10.00 PM. The dining area is only open to children above 6 years old.
