On 17 August 2023, The Ascott Limited Indonesia Jakarta Bogor Bekasi region, held fun zumba, plogging and blood donation activities in commemoration of the 78th Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme “Spirit of Independence” at Old Shanghai-Sedayu City Kelapa Gading.
This event was supported by Start fitness, Gamma Waste, Fitbar, Starfit, Primafit, Slim & Fit and Old Shanghai Sedayu City. Held by Ascott Hotels regional JABOBEK for the first time, 13 properties partook the fun, including; Vertu Harmoni Jakarta , HARRIS Suites fX Sudirman, HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion, HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading, HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Bekasi, HARRIS Hotel Sentul City Bogor, YELLO Hotel Harmoni, POP! Hotel Tebet, POP! Hotel Kemang, POP! Pasar Baru Hotel, POP! Hotel Kelapa Gading, Pesona Alam Resort & Spa and The Botanica Sanctuary.
In line with the slogan of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, to continue the progress moving towards an advanced Indonesia, this event collaborated with Gamma Waste, an environmental non-governmental organisation (NGO) that focuses on the issue of consumption and production of used waste in Indonesia.
The celebration was kickstarted by joint Zumba activities attended by the community and hotel representatives. This was then continued with plogging with the Gamma Waste community, where part of the plastic waste collected in the area will be recycled into items that can be reused. The Gamma Waste community supports various activities that focus on preserving the environment and processing plastic waste. The event was enlivened by a series of entertainment shows from SD & SMP Paskibra performances, musical entertainment, various exciting games, blood donation activities, as well as various interesting door prizes.
The Independence Celebration was held subsequently with the increase of people’s interest in travelling and offline activities. Ascott Hotels Regional JABOBEK was seizing the moment to reintroduce The Ascott Limited among the residents of Jakarta and its surroundings, especially its hotel chain in the cities of Jakarta, Bogor and Bekasi. Apart from that, it is also hoped that these series of activities could attract public interest and restore enthusiasm and a healthy lifestyle in accordance with the brand image of The Ascott Limited Indonesia.
