Artotel Group and MRT Jakarta have collaborated to manage a hotel in the Central Jakarta area, named ARTOTEL Hub Simpang Temu – Jakarta. The start of construction was marked by a joint prayer and tumpeng cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Transport Hub building.
Chief Operating Officer of Artotel Group, Eduard Rudolf Pangkerego gave opening remarks representing the company about how grateful and optimistic they were for the collaboration opportunity offered by MRT Jakarta, given the hotel’s strategic location and integration with various public transportation options. He also noted their confidence in that ARTOTEL Hub Simpang Temu – Jakarta will be the tourist’s choice – whether local or international – and their hope for the hotel’s timely and smooth construction, so they can provide international standard accommodation services ASAP.
Located in the mixed-use Transport Hub building which is a transit-oriented area of Dukuh Atas, ARTOTEL Hub Simpang Temu – Jakarta will have 90 rooms with three room types, namely Studio 23, Studio 28, and Studio 33. Included as well are supporting facilities, such as 3 meeting rooms, 1 restaurant, BART (Bar at The Rooftop) with a breathtaking city view.
As with hotels of the ARTOTEL brand, the signature ARTSPACE exhibition space facility will be presented to display various artworks of young Indonesian artists. In addition to accommodation needs, the hotel is also expected to become a gathering place for the city’s urbanites and youth to relax with friends or colleagues to enjoy the atmosphere of downtown Jakarta.
PT Integrasi Transit Jakarta (PT ITJ) were entrusted as construction management for the construction of Artotel Hub at Dukuh Atas Intersection Building, Jakarta by MRT Jakarta and Artotel Group. Their President Director, Ferdiansyah Roestam, graciously thanked them for such since it will establish them as both a property developer and property management company, while encouraging the realisation of an integrated area in Jakarta and that the project will positively impact the community.
Furthermore, PT MRT Jakarta/Perseroda’s Business Development Director, Farchad Mahfud congratulated Artotel Group and PT ITJ on behalf of Perseroda for cooperating in developing the hotel business at the Dukuh Atas Transport Hub, which has been transformed through the concept of development and development of transit-oriented areas.
He concluded hoping, “…this collaboration will further strengthen the role of MRT Jakarta and its subsidiaries as the main managers in building and developing mixed use buildings in Jabodetabek, and will attract more parties to partner with MRT Jakarta to encourage non-fare box revenue schemes, which in the future will be the main source of income for public transportation operators such as MRT Jakarta.”
