The festivities officially began with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday 11 November 2024 that ran from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The event welcomed 30 media representatives and 70 content creators, all eager to welcome a joyful holiday season with its elegant and cheerful atmosphere.
A highlight of the evening was a touching solo performance by Joaquin Aileen Tumbelaka, a young talent from SMP YPPI 3 Surabaya. Joaquin filled the space with warmth and nostalgia with renditions of holiday favourites like “The First Noel,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”.
Adding a cultural touch, Vasa Hotel collaborated with Studio Etnik Santa Clara for an interactive angklung session. Guests, led by conductor Nuke Elok Suhariyanto, worked in small groups to play holiday classics like “Joy to the World” and “Jingle Bells.” The angklung’s harmonious tones brought everyone together, sharing a memorable experience worth to cherish.
The celebration didn’t end with the lighting ceremony. Guests indulged in a luxurious All-You-Can-Eat Buffet at 209 Dining, showcasing a delightful lineup of holiday dishes, including Roasted Turkey paired with classic stuffing for a traditional holiday treat; Roasted Beef Prime Ribs; a refreshing seafood dish in the form of Salmon Papillote; Beef Roulade stuffed with seasoned vegetables; Duck Confit, slow-cooked to perfection with crispy skin. This lavish meal was closed with the scrumptious Log Snow White Cake filled with soft vanilla sponge and luscious chantilly cream, topped with elegant dry coconut decorations.
The buffet is available for IDR 568,000++ per person during Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Day brunch, and dinner. Guests who book before 1 December 2024, can enjoy a 20% discount.
