On the evening of 15th February 2023, NOW! Jakarta hosted its first Annual Community Party after a long three year hiatus. Returning with a real bang, guests were invited to one of Jakarta’s hottest new venues, the Cafe Cali Rooftop Day Club at The Orient Hotel Jakarta.
More than 170 people attended the event, including ambassadors, school principals, representatives from Embassies and International Chambers of Commerces, International Associations, local and international communities, General Managers and representatives from top hotels and establishments in Jakarta, Sentul, Bogor, Puncak and Bandung and also NOW! Jakarta corporate clients.
The stunning al-fresco venue, with its tropical oasis environment, welcomed guests into a cool and casual atmosphere. A large open-space dotted with palm trees and, with panoramic views across the Jakarta skyline from 33 floors high!
The event was opened by MC, our very own Publishing Director, Edward Speirs, who welcomed the guests and explained about the night celebrations.
Alistair Speirs, Phoenix Communications Founder, made his opening remarks and shared updates on NOW! Jakarta’s performance over the last three years, then passed on to Edward who will oversee the new developments and new features.
The session continued with NOW! Jakarta Appreciation where NOW! Jakarta paid their heartfelt tributes to loyal clients who really supported the media company even through the pandemic, including Pondok Indah Golf Apartments, Jakarta Intercultural School, The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta, Intercontinental Jakarta Pondok Indah, Ichthus School, Chope (PT Kuhi Solutions), Horison Hotels Group, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Park Hyatt Jakarta, Blue Bird Group and Ra Hospitality. These treasured partners were given certificates of appreciation for their continuous support and cooperation.
After a delicious buffet dinner prepared by the Cafe Cali culinary team, the evening was completed by multiple Door Prizes, where great prizes were handed out to the many lucky guests by Director Barbara Janthy.
A very special thank you goes for the whole team of Cafe Cali and the Orient Hotel Jakarta for making the event possible; the exquisite venue (which drew many expressions of appreciation) impeccable service, delicious food and great music, to Hatten Wines for their delicious wines, East Indies Gin and Pulau Rempah Indonesia for the cocktails and also Kura Kura for the beers.
