Art Jakarta, Indonesia’s flagship art fair, is back on 4–6 October 2024. With a clear focus on Southeast Asia and hosted in the region’s dynamic center for contemporary art, it is a vibrant international forum for all stakeholders of this important art ecosystem.

At JIExpo Kemayoran, Art Jakarta 2024 brings together a diverse line-up of 75 established galleries from around the Southeast Asia region and beyond, not to mention 34 collectives and communities, exhibiting a vast range of artworks by selected artists. Moreover, Art Jakarta Spot acts as a platform for special presentations of art installations tailored specifically to the Fair, while AJX collaborates between Art Jakarta and various institutions to present their collections to a bigger audience.

In addition, the Fair hosts a Play that provides children with an interactive and dynamic environment where they can engage with art in playful and imaginative ways, with this year’s by UOB Indonesia being titled “We Are All Beautiful” and designed to nurture children’s creativity under the guidance of Ni Nyoman Sani, the 2023 UOB Painting of the Year winner.

Another part of the program is Talk, which provides experts, observers, artists, collectors, and curators with a medium for dialogue, in order to share their experiences and knowledge with the audience. This year’s agenda includes presentations from Hyphen–, and UOB Indonesia, along with a plethora of interesting book discussions across the board.

Equipped with a tailored lineup to offer valuable insights into current trends and issues in art, Art Jakarta 2024 aims to foster a deeper appreciation for contemporary art and strengthen the local and international art communities.
