The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) is a prestigious automotive exhibition that has been an annual event since 1986. This exhibition displays automotive growth from year-to-year. This exhibition is held at JIExpo Kemayoran every February.

Indonesia International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT)
28 February – 3 March 2024
This annual event is one of the biggest handicraft exhibitions in Indonesia with more than 1,209 exhibitors and 1,500 Indonesian Small and Medium Enterprises. The event, held at Jakarta Convention Center, is organised by the Association of Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers (ASEPHI). Apart from being a major opportunity for Indonesia’s local craftspeople entrepreneurs, INACRAFT is also awaited by keen buyers and handicraft enthusiasts. In 2023, several vendors from various regions in the archipelago were also present, such as: Dekranasda Malang City, Loka Gowa Silk Weaving, Minangkabau Heritage, Way Kanan Crafts. If you’re interested in Indonesian crafts, INACRAFT is a must-visit as one of the biggest events in Jakarta and the country.

For fans of rock and metal music, Jakarta holds an international music event, namely Hammersonic. Dubbed the biggest rock music festival in Southeast Asia, it has become an integral part of Indonesia’s music calendar, bringing in big international names from the global world of rock music, to favourite local bands and performers. In 2023, the festival welcomed headliners like Slipknot, Trivium, Black Flag, Saosin and Story of the Year.

Java Jazz Festival (JJF)

Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival (JJF) is one of the most prestigious music events of the city and has been Indonesia’s pride for 18 years. Presenting famous musicians from various parts of the world and Indonesia, as well as various musical genres. Inviting music lovers to enter the world of music with stunning rhythms and enchanting melodies. The Jakarta Fair is the largest annual exhibition in Southeast Asia and lasts for one month. Jakarta has been a regular annual festival venue for Jakarta residents since 1968. This festival holds music concerts, and game rides. Jakarta Fair offers lots of discounts, ranging from 40% to 80% off goods and other items. The discount is evenly distributed for all types of goods. Vendors sell items such as fashion products like clothes and shoes, even to skincare, electronics, and automotive products.

We The Fest is a music, arts, fashion, and food festival held annually in Jakarta, Indonesia. We the Fest was started in 2014 by Ismaya Live and is held every year over a weekend in mid or late August at Senayan East Parking. It’s an eclectic and vibrant ‘summer’ experience bringing in huge international performers to the stage.
In 2023, We The Fest featured various international headliners such as The 1975, The Strokes and Daniel Caesar; as well as popular local musicians such as: The Adams, COKELAT, & Kurosuke.

ArtMoments Jakarta

ArtMoments Jakarta is an annual art fair held every August. This event displays thousands of works of art in the form of paintings, sculptures, installations which are the work of local and foreign artists. This annual event was made as a bridge between artists and collectors, aimed at uplifting Jakarta as a major ‘art’ destination and creative hub in Asia and give an Indonesian platform for Indonesian artists. Jakarta has an international scale photo festival. The Jakarta International Photo Festival (JIPFest) will be attended by more than 50 participants from within and outside the country, including photographers, photo editors, photography academics, photography students, photo gallery owners, photo curators and critics, representatives of the photographer community, as well as photography lovers. JIPfest holds many programs including: Artist Talk, Photo Exhibition, Urban Photo Tour, & Public Lecture, etc.

The largest dessert festival in Indonesia, Jakarta Dessert Week (JDW) was founded to support the pastry and culinary industry in the country, as well as to provide a unique platform for culinary business in Jakarta, to showcase their work and innovation to the city’s gastronomes. It takes shape across different formats, including the ‘City Takeover’ where outlets across Jakarta present a unique dessert programme that guests can discover in their own time; ‘Dessert Markt’, a pop-up bazaar featuring up and coming dessert brands; plus an online programme where special dessert dishes can be ordered through online merchants.

Jakarta Marathon

The Jakarta Marathon is a sporting event that is regularly held every year in the capital and is supported by PASI (Indonesian Athletics Association). Four categories are held, namely marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.0975 km), 10 km and 5 km. In 2022, over ten thousand runners joined in, marking it as one of the biggest events in Jakarta for marathon amateurs and enthusiasts alike.

Jakarta Theater Festival
October 2024
The Jakarta Theater Festival was originally entitled “Festival Teater Remaja Jakarta” and has been held since 1973. Since its inception, this theater festival has been intended not only as a creative space for theater artists as individuals who are anxious about their existence, but the Jakarta Theater Festival also applies to community groups who marginalized to gain access to knowledge, information, and relationships. This festival is held every October at Taman Ismail Marzuki.

Salihara International Performing Arts Festival (SIPFest)
October – November 2024
SIPFest was first held in 2008. This festival displays the peaks of performing arts, namely the best works of top artists from Indonesia and abroad. Not only presenting aesthetic experiences in the form of performing arts, SIPFest also presents accompanying programs such as fine art exhibitions. This festival is held every year in the Salihara Community (Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta). SIPFest displays the best works of Indonesian artists, including Jim Adhi Limas, Eko Supriyanto, Papermoon Puppet Theatre, Melati Suryodarmo, Theater Garasi, Iwan Gunawan, Al Suwardi and Didik Nini Thowok.

Joyland Festival is an annual music festival held in Indonesia. The festival also features film screenings, stand-up comedy performances, music concerts and workshops. Joyland Festival is a vehicle for musical performances that fulfils the wishes of the public, but also provides space for performers and art lovers. Previously in 2023, Joyland presented several bands such as: Fleet Foxes, Mew, Interpol, Alvvays, Bloc Party, The Beths, Ali, Maliq & D’Essentials, White Shoes & The Couples Company, The Adams.

Djakarta Warehouse Project is an annual music festival with over 90,000 attendees gathering each each. For EDM (Electronic Dance Music) fans, it is one of the biggest events in Jakarta that boasts an international line-up.
