EuroCham is the principal business organisation in Indonesia, which promotes European business interests and represents European member companies.
EuroCham maintains close working relationships with the European Commission, European Union Delegation, European Bilateral Chambers of Commerce in Indonesia, and European Embassies in Indonesia. EuroCham’s mission is to serve the member companies by being the voice of European business in Indonesia and by lobbying on trade and investment related issues.
EuroCham aims to improve market access for European companies in Indonesia through information sharing and a proactive advocacy dialogue with the Government of Indonesia, representing a pan-European industry voice. This work is mainly carried out through 13 Working Groups, which represent European business interests in their respective industry/field. EuroCham promotes and supports European business interests across the archipelago by seeking better market access and an improved business environment in Indonesia for European companies. It is a non-profit membership fee-based organisation.
Directly representing more than 170 European companies and organisations in Indonesia, many being the major investors in their respective sector, EuroCham aims to have the broadest possible representation of European business in Indonesia within its membership. EuroCham’s members consists of mainly large, but also medium and small enterprises from a wide variety of industry sectors.
The Chamber provides members with a platform to meet, exchange information and discuss specific horizontal and vertical issues with leaders of their industry. Through EuroCham, European business is provided with an effective communication and advocacy channel to the Indonesian Government. Recommendations and advocacy activities are shaped through the sectoral working groups where EuroCham also supports member companies by providing a forum for the exchange of information on business, regulatory and market conditions in Indonesia.
The overall objectives are to facilitate contact and communication within the European business community in Indonesia and to establish constructive dialogue with the Indonesian authorities and the Indonesian business community in order to detect and nurture business relationships. In order to reach these objectives, EuroCham is:
- Developing dialogue and maintaining contact with high-ranking Indonesian officials.
- Promoting European business in Indonesia.
- Providing members with recent developments and fluctuations on business in Indonesia.
- Harmonising the National Chambers and Business Associations of the European Union.
- Enlarging the European Community spirit in Indonesia.
- Organising events and seminars.
EuroCham with KADIN and APINDO will host the eighth EU-Indonesia Business Dialogue on 25 October.
