Hoping to strengthen the recognisability of its brand, Aloft Jakarta TB Simatupang has unveiled a calculated name change into Aloft South Jakarta.
Branded as a next-gen hotel for millennials that encompasses a unique brand focus on design, lifestyle and music, the newly-renamed Aloft South Jakarta will preserve its brand essence of affordable accommodation for modern travellers seeking the luxurious lifestyle and hip social scene.
The introduction of the new name aims to present an instantly recognisable and memorable name, particularly to the millennials. Of course, with the name change comes a brand-new visual identity, updated logo, refreshed marketing, and hotel collaterals.
“Renaming the hotel to Aloft South Jakarta, I believe will give a positive impact, especially since South Jakarta is synonymous for its upscale residential areas, a home to millennials – a target we are aiming for. We are steadfast that the name change does not change who we are and will stay true to our brand image and DNA,” explained Lily Wijaya, General Manager of Aloft South Jakarta.
Comfortably nestled in the ever-evolving metropolitan area of Jakarta, Aloft South Jakarta is designed to be the prevalent social destination where both locals and travellers can connect, network and indulge in the city’s vibrant energy through the hotel’s striking design and live music programming. The hotel features a distinctive urban industrial design and lifestyle hotspots including the WXYZ Bar, Fraya, and Southside.
Also catering to the business traveller market, the hotel strives to provide a flawless experience, offering 169 guestrooms in addition to eight Tactic meeting spaces. The hotel also features an expansive ballroom that can accommodate up to 200 guests in a round-table style seating with a pre-function area.
Aloft South Jakarta quickly flourished within a few months of its establishment, managing to steal the limelight through various activations including collaborations with well-known celebrities, the city’s most prominent influencers and KOLS, several musicians and DJs. They’ve hosted several big events including a Halloween event entitled “City Lights” at Southside with a special DJ set by Jidho from Pon Your Tone; hosted the launch of renowned Indonesian singer, Rossa’s, new single as well as her talk show with singer, Afgan; and collaborated with Repressence featuring numerous famed local DJs.
