Chef Jay McCarthy—nicknamed the “Cowboy Chef”—returns to the Grand Hyatt Jakarta for a week and will offer a special of steakhouse favourites prepared with flavours from the Southern United States.
Meat lovers are in for a treat at C’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant at Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Cowboy Chef Jay McCarthy returns to the restaurant from 16 to 20 July and will offer a special menu including U.S. beef and lamb.
McCarthy, an aerospace space engineer turned chef, has many accolades to his name including being voted Alamo City’s “Best Chef” as well as being named ‘most creative chef in San Antonio’ (Texas) by Mary Mahaffey, President of the Heart of Texas Specialty Foods in Austin. The New York-born chef was trained in Texas and currently serves as the ambassador of the Beef Council’s of Texas and Nebraska.
At C’s, Chef McCarthy will showcase his unique Southern style of preparing the premium meats. By popular demand (he was previously at the hotel in 2016), the celebrity chef will showcase favourites including the juicy Cowboy
Bone- In Ribeye steak and mouthwatering sugar-cured Prime Beef Tenderloin with Apple Brie Cream.
Other dishes include Coriander Rubbed Hampshire Lamb T Bone and the 1.5 kg Stockyard Gold Wagyu Tomahawk Steak. Following an exquisite main course, diners can indulge in classic Pecan Pie for dessert, complemented by a range of liquers and other drinks.
The special menu will be available for lunch and dinner. Prices for the main course begin from IDR 340,000++.
