Organised by the Australian red meat industry, better known as Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), Senopati Beef Up Fest features a fresh-from-the-field meat and takes place at Senopati’s 10 best restaurants from March to April. This one-month event highlights the restaurant’s signature meals with a varied range of preparation method. Participating restaurants include 1/15 Coffee, Bianca Cocktail House & Dining Room, Cutt & Grill, FEAST by Kokiku, Greyhound Café, Holy Smokes, Kitchen by MINQ, Turkuaz Restaurant, William’s and Kilo Kitchen + Lounge.
Meat lovers will be pampered with a harmony of texture, aroma and flavours—be it the sensation of fusion food, the complexity of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine or the taste of authentic Indonesian foods. Each restaurant will offer their chefs’ best creations, and here are some of my favourites!
Turkuaz Restaurant never fails to please my craving for Turkish delicacies! Specially made by Chef Sezai Zorlu, the Hunkar Begendi is an excellent char-grilled whole meaty aubergine served with fresh and moist mozzarella cheese, which adds a rich sensation to it.
Cutt & Grill is also a good choice to experience Australian Prime Cuts, as it offers a good marbling and a mouth-watering robust beef flavour; A choice of beef back ribs, Wagyu striploinMarble Score (MB) 7+, Wagyu Rib eye MB 8+, Wagyu Tenderloin MB 7+ and Grain Fed Rib eye tomahawk—all served well-balanced in flavour and tenderness.
If you’re after a stronger flavour, black pepper is another strong contender with its slightly hot bite and peppery aroma. Try the Grilled Sirloin Steak on a hotplate at Greyhound Café. You’ll get nothing but tender and succulent beef strips with the bright, light aromas and mild-but-spicy flavour.
