The vibrant restaurant established in 2009 in Pacific Place mall, Potato Head Jakarta launched its new grand menu incorporating a diverse selection of American, European and Asian flavours.
The restaurant’s high quality products sourced from within the region has always been popular among foodies and diners in the city. Paired with well-curated root-to-flower cocktails, this latest menu utilising the indigenous herbs, spices, fruits and flowers of the archipelago is sure to be a hit.
Potato Head Family’s Public Relations Executive, Shaun Soetaniman said that the restaurant revamped almost 90 per cent of the menu inspired by some of world’s favourite food cultures. The new grand menu includes two new starter options, a seafood soup, four handmade pasta choices, eight large plates including three top-grade beef dishes and an Indonesian-inspired dessert.
Diners can start off with Tuna Nicoise, a sashimi grade tuna with bell peppers, baby potatoes, quail eggs, with sesame and lemon orange dressing, or escargot baked bourguignon style with mushroom duxelles and served with French toast.
For those looking for a starchier main dish, try the Saikoro Beef Fried Rice or the Salmon Fried Rice served with crisp thinly sliced salmon and vegetables. Pan fried snapper with Balinese sambal matah (raw shallot and lemongrass), and Australian beef tenderloin with a choice of three sauces (mushroom, barbeque or café de Paris) are also on offer here.
The dessert menu is sure to satisfy Indonesian tastebuds with dishes like fried banana with coconut nectar in which Pontianak-style fried bananas are served with grated cheese and coconut nectar sauce.
The restaurant has now introduced a blackboard menu of daily specials, showcasing the season’s ripest ingredients, the catch of the day, festive platters and more.
