Before becoming a chef, Andrea was an architect by training working at a regional planner and academic at Delf University of Technology, the Netherlands. His love for cooking drove his ambition to explore culinary world and travel around European cities to taste various cuisines.
Having a stellar reputation as one of the most influential independent chefs in the capital, Andrea together with his partner introduced their first private dining space years ago. The idea for his first standalone culinary endeavour was fusion cuisines that involves a new concept of fresh and delicious Indonesian cuisine infused with his own interpretation of authentic Manado and Palembang dishes, the famously known Daun Muda Soulfood.
Segundo means 'the second' in Spanish, which later translates as his second journey for authentic comfort foods that features Indonesian-Mediterranean taste. Situated in the heart of vibrant Kemang at Hotel Monopoli, Segundo is a lively addition to the city that has become food-centric!

The main course Paella Del Mar is a must try! Served with shrimps, calamaris and clams, this dish promises a satisfying flavour made with some fresh assorted seafood on a hot pan in Valencia's style.
For pasta lovers, Spaghetti alla Bolognese is a must try. Another dish not to miss is the unique combination of pasta with Wagyu beef served with fresh tomato sauce.
Yet anothe rpopular signature main course is the Mediterranean Grill Segundo Bife Ancho, a 280-gram of dry-aged Australian beef rib-eye cut prepared sizzling with chimichurri on the side.
