From 24 to 30 June, Barong Bar inviting cocktail enthusiasts to celebrate Negroni Week by exploring multiple variations of negroni creations at the opulent bar located at Fairmont Jakarta. During Negroni Week at Barong Bar, you’ll have the chance to explore a plethora of different versions of this classic cocktail that reveals its evolution from generation to generation.
Head Mixologist, Andrews Lugiman will be leading Negroni Week to deliver perfected classics and masterfully crafted cocktails using locally sourced ingredients prepared with modern techniques. Along with only five other venues in Jakarta, Barong Bar offers Classic Negroni a combination of Campari, Citadelle and Mancino Rosso. The bold taste of Campari, Citadelle, Antica Dormula are served in Aged Negroni. Try a mixture of Campari, Mancino Rosso, Corte Giara in the Sbagliato Negroni. Not to be missed, the Clear Negroni is served from the mixture of Campari, Citadelle, Mancino Bianco and Luxardo.
During the Negroni Week, the bar will harvest its Barrel-aged Negroni and make it available for guests to try. The Negroni has been aged for 7 months in a 3-litre American oak barrel. As a result, the barrel-aged Negroni will give a taste like no other with a woody and earthy scent to enhance the Negroni tasting experience.
In 2013, Imbibe Magazine and Campari presented the first Negroni Week, which has been known as a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charities around the world. Since the launch, Negroni Week has grown from about 120 participating venues to almost 10,000 venues around the world, and to date, they have collectively raised about $2 million for charitable causes.
Negroni Week cocktails are available at IDR 200,000 per glass.
