No state, no society, no business, and no individual is untouched by digital transformation. However, this invites new threats in our society in form of fake news, black campaigns, online radicalization, hate speech, content filters and many others.
With this in mind, Goethe-Institut Indonesien, Center for Digital Society (CfDS), and ICT Watch are conducting a series of mini-conferences in 2019 and 2020 that is aiming to stir a debate about the impact digital transformation has on individuals as well as on economics, politics, society, and the ecology.
The first installment of the Digital Discourses conference series highlights the complicated relationship between freedom and restriction on the internet. This event is free and will be held at GoetheHaus on 25 October 2019. For registration and information, visit www.goethe.de/
