Following the success of the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) 2016 Phase 1 in April, Indonesia’s national airline is set to return with the second phase of the fair from October 7 to 9 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

According to A. Toni Soetirto, Director of Commerce Garuda Indonesia, the exhibition aims to support national tourism by presenting various interesting holiday packages. “GATF Phase 2 will be held simultaneously in 18 cities in order to provide more opportunities for travellers in planning their journey,” he said during the press conference.

GATF is a one-stop shopping experience for customers as they can hunt for various interesting promotions, including flight tickets, hotel and tour packages. Under the theme of ‘Digital Experience’, GATF 2016 Phase 2 encourages travellers to actively use digital platforms such as Garuda Indonesia Mobile App and Garuda Indonesia Website to simplify the planning of their upcoming trips. Visitors are also encouraged to explore new domestic destinations including Banyuwangi, Lombok, Seram, Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat and Lake Toba. Compared to its previous editions, GATF adds new services to the October fair:  for the first time, there will be a VIP Lounge for platinum members where they can enjoy a selection of the best Indonesian coffee. Activities that range from photo and video competitions to lucky draws and happy hour round off the event.
