Generation STEM at Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS)

Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS) will be hosting a STEM conference titled Generation STEM on Saturday, 15 February 2020. JIS are interested in the STEM field and want to use this conference to showcase the importance of STEM in our society.

Generation STEM agenda:

9.00-9.30am :  Registration
9.30-9.45am : Opening Speech by the Generation STEM team
9.45-10.00am : Speech by a representative from Yayasan Helping Hands 
10.00-10.30am : Speech by Tengku Alia - one of the two lead female engineering in the MRT project
10.30-11.00am : Speech by Tania Soerianto - Product Manager at Traveloka and is a Co founder and Strategy and Business Developer of Generation Girl
11.00 - 11.30am : Speech by Captain Esther Gayatri Saleh - the only female test pilot in Indonesia. She will be talking about the role of women in aerospace technology
11.30am - 12.00pm : Speech by Vania Radmila - Mobile Engineer at Gojek and is a Co-founder and Web developer of Generation Girl
12.00 - 12.30pm : Q&A session for all the speakers
12.30-1.30pm : Lunch break (lunch will be provided)
1.30-5.30pm : Workshop sessions (attendees will separate into the workshops that they signed up for)
5.30-6.00pm : Closing ceremony

Entrance fees are priced at IDR200,000 for JIS students and IDR250,000 for non-JIS students. All the profits that they will be getting from the conference will be donated to a charity that they are working with called Yayasan Helping Hands. This organisation works to empower youth with disabilities in Indonesia.
