The Jakarta Players' Longing for Love

The Jakarta Players' Longing for Love is five one-act plays celebrating our wish for human connection -- and how we sometimes find it (and lose it) in the most unexpected places. Women in a support group share colourful stories of lost love. In chance encounters, strangers from different worlds discover they have much more in common than they thought.  A veteran's return to his hometown reignites childhood passions. And friends on a train come to the end of the line -- with each other.

This event has been made possible through sponsorship from Asian Tigers, Fortuna U, WishPlus, and venue cooperation with Institut Francais d’Indonesie.

Longing For Love opens on the evening of 25 May and closes on 26 May, at the Auditorium of Institut Français d'Indonésie (IFI) in Thamrin, Central Jakarta. Seats are limited and goes very quickly so purchase your tickets early.

The show is directed by Andrew Trigg and Heriska Suthapa, with Galuh Alifani and Yuliani Supandji as producers.
