From the from 26 to 27 July, the newly appointed head bartender of Charles H – Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, Keith Motsi, will be hosting a bar takeover at Nautilus Bar – Four Seasons Jakarta.
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Mosti will bring his own exquisite and exotic cocktail creations to the capital for an exclusive two-day event. Raised in the United Kingdom, Motsi has travelled extensively around the world, collecting international experiences behind the bar in many different locations. The Zimbabwe native has been influenced by many cultures, which serve as the inspiration for many of his cocktails.
Now, Motsi is at the helm of a hidden speakeasy bar inspired by the legendary American writer Charles H. Baker – also a cocktail icon of the Gilded Age. Charles H Baker is touted as the lovechild of Indiana Jones and Jay Gatsby, according to St. John Frizell from Condé Nast Traveler. Baker was the man behind many cocktails loved by connoisseurs of today, and as a world-travelling culinarian, he pioneered the transnational fusion of flavours in the cocktail world.
On Friday 26 to Saturday 27 July, starting at 7pm, indulge in an eclectic cocktail menu from the Charles H Bar in Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, No 14 on Asia’s Best Bars 2019, prepared by Keith Motsi.
