As such, Demitria Ramona & Rheavanya Winandhini from HATS, Khezia Hakim & Rio Gunawan from BRAUD General Store came together to create mad desserts.

As such, Demitria Ramona & Rheavanya Winandhini from HATS, Khezia Hakim & Rio Gunawan from BRAUD General Store came together to create mad desserts. 

Tucked into Iskandarsyah, HATS Sorbet is where cocktail precision meets dessert spontaneity. Led by Demitria Ramona, HATS is home to “sober sorbets,” experimental gelato and cocktails. On the other hand, BRAUD General Store is known for its sourdoughs and pastries, in addition to curated food and natural wine offerings, bringing a fusion of European culinary traditions to the core of Jakarta. Regarding the flavours, HATS and BRAUD put out a statement: “We took everything too far — and it tastes insane.” 

Available only at BRAUD General Store, AVOACADO MADE ME GO NUTS consists of Avocado & Chocolate Gelato with Mini Juruh Toast, Whipped Salted Brown Butter, and Toasted Hazelnuts – with the tagline of “It’s Nutty. It’s Nostalgic.” Sweet, creamy, and swimming in chocolate; it serves as a throwback to simpler times like after school, at the corner warung and the old favourite Padang spot, while being dressed up with more mature components.

As for DONUT CALL ME FUGLY – available only at HATS Sorbet – it consists of Double Gelato with Miso Caramel Palmier Crumbs, served in a Cone Bowl with Fugly Donuts, Sea Salt Whipped Cream, Dehydrated Kimchi, Cherry Tomato, and Basil Oil. Envisioned as like a weekend brunch with an unpredictable dessert twist, the dish consists of a sweet, savoury, crispy and tangy mixture that unexpectedly works.

The MAD TASTE launch party began on 26 April 2025 from 3 PM onwards and will be available until 10 May 2025. Being a limited run only, come curious and catch a taste while they’re there at HATS Sorbet & Bar, Iskandarsyah and at BRAUD General Store, Senopati.
