Heineken® invites Jakartans to celebrate Chinese New Year, with beer! With the theme ‘Cheers to Fresher Celebrations’, the premium beer brand has created a one-of-a-kind spectacle inside Pantjoran Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) with the creation of the Heineken® Good Times Town.

From 26 January to 24 February 2024, the beer brand has opened captivating spots in the iconic China Town-styled district better known as Pantjoran PIK, a fun-filled installation of art and experiences dubbed the ‘Heineken® Good Times Town’. This vibrant collaboration is made to welcome the Year of the Wood Dragon at the turn of the Lunar New Year on Saturday, 10 February 2024.

The most eye-catching aspect of the setup is without a doubt the ‘Heineken® Dragon landmark’, a 15-metre dragon-shaped structure crafted out of 8,800 used beers and wooden pallets, collected from the DWPVX event at GWK Bali in December 2023.

The art installation is made through a collaboration with Jakarta artist, Dimas Judhi Saputra, and his 12 craftsmen, taking over a month to design, build and bring this dragon to life. On top of that, the collection of cans contributed to the Rice for Bali initiative, donating 190 bags of rice to North Bali. The Heineken Dragon is without a doubt the centre-piece of Heineken® Good Times Town in PIK.

The area welcomes additional experiences with the help of Heineken’s pop-ups in the area. Visitors will find a red envelope tree featuring Heineken® merchandise, fortune reading, a magic mirror photo booth, and lively performances by LED Barongsai and UV Lion Barongsai. All these amazing activations are part of the brand’s theme, ‘Cheers to Fresher Celebrations’, as their way to enliven the Lunar New Year festivities this 2024.
