Renowned for their pervasive East Indies Gin and Nusantara Cold Brew brands, Spice Islands Distilling Co. introduces East Indies Banda Fine Spiced Negroni Gin as the latest addition to their growing premium collection.

Inspired by the emergence of craft gin worldwide and the bountiful of exotic botanicals in Indonesia, East Indies Gin was born. Soon after, the distillery launched its small-batch gin, East Indies Archipelago Dry Gin in November 2021, and then their Bali Pomelo Pink Gin. In the case of the new East Indies Banda Fine Spiced Negroni Gin, it pays homage to ‘East Indies’ history.

The ’East of the Indus was seen by Ancient Greeks as a mysterious world of spices beyond the Indus River. Over centuries, those valuable spices of mace and nutmeg defined Indonesia’s outlook, thus they in turn define the core ingredients of the new zesty ‘East Indies’ gin.

Evenly mixed, the 43% ABV gin gives off a delightful aroma of peppery sweetness, warm spices and citrus notes from additional components such as juniper, coriander and angelica root. As such, it is well-suited for great cocktails like Negronis, or twists on the classic Gin and Tonic.

At the Spice Islands Distillery located on Keramas Beach in Bali, East Indies distils their gin authentically with ‘Gede’- a Carl-handmade 550L copper still from Germany. Exotic Indonesian botanicals are macerated with high quality imported Macedonian Junipers to produce each gin.

East Indies Banda Fine Spiced Negroni Gin is available in 700ml bottles at top restaurants, bars and retailers across Jakarta and Bali, as well as directly from Spice Islands Distilling Co.
