Paying homage to Indonesian heritage, Jakarta Phinisi features a traditional-shaped boat as a reference to the configuration of the Buginese-Makassarese (Bugis-Makasar) trade vessel that has been built since the 14th century. Jakarta Phinisi owns two boats, namely de Kartini and de Sartika which were established as tribute to national female superheroes, RA Kartini and Dewi Sartika. Each vessel is handcrafted-built with a wood-carving finish illustrating batik and other visual symbols representing Indonesian heritage. It has three private rooms and three sundeck areas with a total capacity of 150 people.
DeSartika is a Phinisi ship for individual passengers that offers an open trip on the ticket box. For those booking the cruise for a corporate meeting, event, MICE or other business purposes, de Kartini is available for large group passengers. Start the trip at the meeting point at The Waterfront Baywalk Mall before heading to Phinisi using a small boat as the big boat can’t pull over too close to the soil.
