In October, Jakarta is busy preparing many types of exhibitions for everyone to enjoy. If your calendar is still free for next month, here are our recommended events for you.
Indonesias Contemporary Art and Design (ICAD)
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Indonesias Contemporary Art and Design (ICAD). For this special occasion, ICAD will present ICAD Awards, an awarding ceremony for those involved in creative industry, specifically those who provides significant contribution to the development of contemporary art and design in Indonesia. The winners of this award will be chosen by a team of judges upon receiving the result of ICAD’s recommendation and research.
ICAD invited many artists from various art forms to this event too, obviously. Some of them are di Purnomo (Architect – Jakarta), Agus Suwage (Artist – Yogyakarta), Nirwan Dewanto (Writer – Jakarta), Dolorosa Sinaga (Artist – Jakarta), Hadiprana (Interior Designer – Jakarta) and F.X. Harsono (Artist – Yogyakarta/Jakarta).

INDOCOMTECH
INDOCOMTECH is dedicated to all digital creative society in Indonesia. As the most awaited by both consumers and entrepreneurs in Indonesia, the show will be geared up with a number of exciting exhibitors, both local and international. And there will be many potential reasons why you should get involved at INDOCOMTECH 2019.
For the 2019 edition, INDOCOMTECH will be held at Jakarta Convention Center from 30 October until 3 November 2019. The entrance fee is priced at IDR 25,000 for Wednesday – Thursday and IDR 30,000 for Friday – Sunday. For more information, visit indocomtech.net.
Indocraft Expo
Indocraft is one of the leading trade exhibition for batik and handicraft industry in Indonesia. The event is organized by Debindo with support from the Government, the association of handicraft producers that promotes the development of handicraft industries in Indonesia.
Indocraft expo offers a platform for exhibitors to showcase a wide range of fashion, handicrafts, and interior products to visitors. Other than an exhibition, Indocraft expo will also present creative art demonstrations and lively craft activities to motivate, delight, and touch the hearts of art and craft lovers.

Jakarta Fashion Week
The biggest fashion show in Indonesia, Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2020 will be held from 19 to 25 Oktober at Senayan Citys, marking the new face of fashion week in the country with the fresh logo, a variety of campaign, fashion show, and more sustainable movements. In collaboration with a number of local and international comunity organisations, Jakarta Fashion Week plans to promote sustainable industry in the upcoming event in October.

Other than the events above, there’s also Indonesia Senayan Festival (I SEE Fest) 2019, an outdoor festival which will also exhibit various interesting products for roughly all of your hobby including outdoor travel, music, automotive and others.
