Many things have changed since NOW! Jakarta’s inception as a print magazine back in 2008. We have published books, travel guides, hosted numerous events, developed our design and content and extended our offerings to include an interactive website, e-newsletter, and active social media accounts.
Some of the closest bonds that we have maintained over the years are with our international community and our loyal clients, some of whom have been supporting us since the start. As a sign of gratitude, we recently invited our valued PR and marketing friends to join us for a fun afternoon gathering of mingling, cocktails and togetherness at Canteen in Pacific Place. Publisher Alistair Speirs was pleased to welcome guests alongside the NOW! team before opening the afternoon with a speech on sustainability. Highlighting the fact that sustainability has become a bit of a buzzword in recent years, he questioned what the real meaning of the word is and how it relates to a business setting, such as the many great hotels, restaurants, apartment complexes and other businesses represented at the event.
Next came speeches by Eamonn Sadler of Most Valued Businesses Indonesia, and Wendy Kusumowidagdo of Outward Bound Indonesia. After a long session of drawing door prizes, including F&B vouchers from the Bugils group as well as vouchers from Mixed Martial Arts, The Body Shop and various hotels, guests were treated to a fashion show whereby a few of our PR friends modelled outfits from online clothing line, Brand Outlet.
