Ascott Serviced Residences Participating in Clean Up Jakarta Day

Ascott Jakarta, Ascott Kuningan Jakarta, Citadines Rasuna Jakarta, Somerset Berlian Jakarta, and Somerset Grand Citra as the members of The Ascott Limited, organised teams to participate in the Clean Up Jakarta Day on Sunday, 16 October 2016.

This year, The Ascott properties are proud to invite the residents to participate in the cleaning day. Mr. Kenneth Rogers, Ascott’s Regional General Manager for Indonesia and Australia, said, “We want to encourage our staff and our residents to participate in this positive activity to help make Jakarta a better place and to encourage events within our community.” According to, Jakarta produces 6,700 tons of rubbish each day, and much of it ends up on the street and in the city’s rivers. They believe that by conducting this annual social activity they can trigger more awareness from nearby communities towards the environment. They conducted this social activity as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The event started in the morning in front of the 5 Ascott properties in Jakarta, and was followed up with a range of guest activities and a photo competition with the hashtag #CleanUpDayWithAscott. The wish is to have a clean and comfortable living environment for Jakarta and we will continue to be involved with this event in the coming years.
