Featuring customised and personalised workouts, with ten studios spread across the city, Pilates Re Bar is making sure no one is making excuses when it comes to their health and fitness. This Japanese-affiliated reformer pilates company hopes to instil and inspire their members to make positive changes in their lives, using this activity as a means to re-educate, re-form and re-transform.

Established in 2021, Pilates Re Bar (PRB) has progressively built up a network of ten studios (and counting) in prime locations around Jakarta. Why so many? Exercise should always be accessible and available, allowing members to find a nearby studio whether they are at home, at the office or wherever they might be in the city. This is crucial in building healthy habits or keeping to lifestyle goals.

From the get-go, PRB’s mission has been to spread this growing activity, hoping to share its many benefits with more people. Beyond simply ‘exercise’, pilates is credited with improving posture, flexibility, balance, core strength and of course overall resilience. It’s a mind-body experience, great for longevity and often bolstering people’s capacity in other areas of their lives, be it undoing the harms of sedentary office hours, or developing injury-resilience among the more active.

PRB’s programmes are available as both group and private sessions (1:2 and 1:1), held in fully-equipped, air-conditioned studios featuring reformers, wunda chairs, ladder barrels, spine correctors, towers and Cadillac trapeze tables. Sessions are run by a dedicated team of certified coaches, friendly and welcoming, and the cornerstones of the many communities around Jakarta (PRB Family).

It’s important to note that Pilates Re Bar welcomes visitors at all stages of their fitness or pilates journey, adopting the concept of Kaizen Pilates, i.e. a philosophy of continuous and gradual improvement. This is embedded into the sessions too, a process that simultaneously re-educates and re-forms each person’s mindset as they challenge themselves and their own limits. As such, upon joining, members are likely to be asked how they hope pilates can elevate lifestyle goals, how PRB can help them best and what would make them feel most achieved and satisfied.

Studios are open 7-days a week, even on public holidays. Sessions can be easily booked on ‘PRB ONE’, a web-based application created for easy booking. Currently, studios can be found at: Pantai Indah Kapuk, Kelapa Gading, Lippo Karawaci, Pondok Indah, Ranch Kemang, Sahid Sudirman, Greenville, Sunter, Quantis BSD and Alam Sutera.
