One of Indonesia’s leading hospitality companies, Plataran Indonesia, recently held a special appreciation night for their travel, event and media partners who supported them throughout 2022. The event, dubbed ‘Drops of Haven’, was held at Plataran Ubud, simultaneously unveiling the resort’s ‘new face’.
Having undergone extensive renovations and an expansion, Plataran Ubud showcased a host of new additions to their already stunning property during the appreciation night. This includes the grandiose Khatulistiwa Lobby for guests check-in/out, the Khatulistiwa Pathway that bears the philosophy of a journey towards tranquillity, paying homage to the pristine nature and sacred Balinese culture. Other new facilities that were introduced to partners include: Paddy’s Deck, an area suitable for picnic breakfast to welcome the sunrise and also the Kamarith Deck for a romantic dinner setting underneath the moonlight of Ubud and Paon Bali, an outdoor cooking class venue, a signature encounter program of Plataran Hotels & Resorts.
The highlight opening was that of the Kinandari Venue, a versatile compound comprising three unique areas suitable for hosting weddings, conferences, corporate meetings and other large-scale events. The appreciation night was hosted here, inaugurating this brand new event venue.
‘Drops of Haven’ opened with an art performance from Balinese dance troupe, KitaPoleng, featuring mesmerising dance artistry with captivating costumes inspired by water as the source of life. Dewi Makes, as the Founder of Plataran Indonesia, opened the event, followed by a comprehensive visual presentation of Plataran Indonesia and proceeded with a dinner accompanied by the Astrid Sulaiman Jazz Trio while enjoying the delightful culinary presentation of Plataran Ubud, featuring signature Indonesian and Western menus, on the magnificent Banyan Tree Deck.
To close the night, Plataran Indonesia presented various awards to national and international partners such as Inbound Travel Partner of The Year, Event Organizer of The Year, and the highlight of the event, the Most Valuable Travel Partner of The Year award, accompanied by a spectacular Balinese Kecak dance performance.
