In order to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the five-star Hotel Borobudur in Central Jakarta has launched the special spa experience “Romantic Couple Rejuvenate” at its Klub and Spa Borobudur that allows couples to indulge in top-to-toe treatment for 150 minutes.
Available at IDR 1,870,000++ for two persons, couples can enjoy a side-by-side massage followed by a fragrant body scrub and mask. The treatment begins with a soothing foot massage in warm water, infused with an essence of lavender or lemongrass to promote relaxation and antiseptic.
Next, the certified therapists will commence their massage of back and shoulder, stomach, legs and thighs with skillful hands, using aromatic massage oils such as lemongrass, lavender or sandalwood. The traditional Swedish massage relaxes stiff and tense muscles, whereas the Japanese deep tissue massage enhances blood circulation.
To keep the skin naturally moist, the therapists will then apply a body scrub made of milk and honey, followed by a body mask containing honey and yogurt. Unlike body scrubs that are sold at supermarkets or beauty shops and can sometimes feel rough on the skin, the spa’s scrub is so smooth that it gently sticks to one’s skin. The silky body mask helps the body scrub to deeply penetrate the skin and leaves it not only soft but also rejuvenated. To ensure the best possible treatment, the spa uses Thai-made beauty products.
The treatment ends with taking a dip in a hot jacuzzi. The red rose petals in the water, the soft music playing in the background and the distinctive aroma of lemongrass add to the romantic atmosphere and complete a flawless experience.
“We use a massage pump or hydrotherapy for our jacuzzi, so once you plunge in, you can feel the pumps shooting water on your back. Couples can add milk into the jacuzzi and enjoy a milk bath, or simply mix the hot water with aromatic essence like lavender and lemongrass,” Klub and Spa Borobudur Spa Supervisor Nurdiyanti said.
While the couples are taking a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi, they will be served a cup of hot ginger tea coupled with slices of watermelon, melon, and orange—a simple sweet treat to end the spa experience.
Romantic Couple Rejuvenate is available until the end of February.
