On the commemoration of 300 years Bach’s career in Leipzig, this time “immortality” of this one of the world’s greatest composers is taken as the theme of “Sanguinis Choraliensis! 2023” concert : “Immortal Bach”
Death and the end of the day have been frequently taken as the inspiration by many composers from different eras to show their expressions from different angle of views.
Johann Sebastian Bach is one of the composers who has used the above theme in many of his compositions. Although the theme on death is identical with an end, but the believe in immortality after death has given a different perspective about the death itself. Similar with the immortality of Bach’s compositions which inspired the composers who lived after him.
Besides the Three motets for double choir by Johann Sebastian Bach, in this concert we will also have other compositions by different composers such as Gyöngyösi Levente, György Orban, Toyotaka Tsuchida, and Fero Aldiansya Stefanus.
