The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place has come up with a delectable way to spend your lunch with their Bee Sanctuary and Honey Delight Afternoon Tea as part of their “Harmony of Hives” series. This one-of-a-kind experience is set to capture and converge the beauty of bees, the serenity of nature and the indulgence of culinary delights into one memorable lunch.
Make your first stop at The Ritz-Carlton Bee Sanctuary where guests will be able to take in a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of stingless bees and their delectable honey, while contributing to the hotel’s steadfast commitment to sustainability and community support.
This new initiative in collaboration local company, Beema Honey, is found on Level 8 of the property, featuring two bee-hives that house two kinds of stingless honey bees, Tetragonula Biroi and Heterotrigona Itama. The stingless bees produce a honey that is less viscous and is darker than honey bees, usually having a citrus sour-sweet taste. The bees store their aromatic honey in clusters of small resin pots near the extremities of the nest.
In the sanctuary, the honey will be harvested and infused with various local ingredients to enhance the flavours. The harvested honey will be available for tasting exclusively at the renowned PA.SO.LA Restaurant, where guests can savour the exquisite flavours of this natural delight. This gastronomic experience promises to be a journey of the senses.
Another dining experience featuring the bounty of the bees is the Honey Delight Afternoon Tea where guests can relish the delectable treats crafted with the finest locally sourced honey. PA.SO.LA’s culinary team is committed to using the freshest honey, harvested right from the hotel’s thriving beehives.
