The graphic design festival, ‘Seek a Seek’ returns after a successful debut last year on providing a comprehensive platform for local designers through its two-month-long exhibition and art market. Responding to the progressive issues in the industry, Seek a Seek #2 highlights Kon/Jun/Gsi to counter a disruption and industry 4.0 that has been affecting the industry.
Curated by the team of five, namely Ignatius Hermawan Tanzil, Max Suriaganda, Rege Indrastudianto, Fandy Susanto and Ismiaji Cahyono, Seek a Seek #2 focuses on the issue around the digital era that disrupts the industry creating misunderstanding to the field, lack of appreciation, talent and copyright and separation among its players.
Kon/Jun/Gsi means a connector that links several issues that have been a challenge in the industry today. The organiser wants to gather the industry player to exhibit their graphic design works that carry a value of innovation and novelty to represent the era of the zeitgeist. The festival aims to bring the spirit of togetherness and empower the industry players who has been unacknowledged.
The graphic design festival is also open for local creative minds from other disciplines that are able to enrich the progressive industry which have good sensibility in current affairs and the future.
The participant, including Another Design Co., Bobobobo, Karyarupa, Leboye, Malt, Makna Creative, Mata Studio, Studio Rama, Videstarr and Wanara, are expected to participate in a series of events. With more than 40 designers involved in the festival, Seek a Seek also invite other stakeholders such as educator, entrepreneurs, client, students and the general public to strengthen the ecosystem of Indonesian graphic design.
